West Elm is amping up its local offerings with a space dedicated to locally made goods in addition to local maker pop-ups on weekends. We tapped General Manager Dale Minor to tell us more about West Elm’s love of local:

“West Elm is very involved with the local community and its makers. We currently have a 10’ x 12’ local section in our Mockingbird Station store that displays local makers’ works, art, and products.”

“We really want to support local talent and educate our customers about it. Our local maker pop-ups typically happen on weekends and they’ve been a huge success—our Instagram page has all the details.”

“In addition to the local community, West Elm is very proud to support global communities. Our hand-loomed silk pillow covers crafted by the artisans at Eco Tasar, a silk workshop and social enterprise in rural India, have been sold in store for more than eight years now. These, as well as other products in store, give back to these communities. A complete list of our global partners can be found on our website.”

“Across the board, we at West Elm know where our products come from, and it’s an honor to serve and support local and global communities.”
